Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) is a non-residential, family-centered health care service for medically fragile or technology-dependent children. It's the most cost-effective, medically safe, community-based care model for kids who would otherwise qualify for skilled private-duty nursing.
We enroll children from birth through age 21 with medically complex conditions, when prescribed by their pediatrician. Children can attend Little Dreamers up to the hours authorized in their plan of care while receiving nursing, therapy, and educational services.
Yes. PPEC services are covered under the Florida Medicaid program, and we work with most private insurance plans to handle the necessary authorizations and reduce the paperwork burden on your family.
